General Meeting April 4, 2017
Location and Time:
  Meeting held at Carroll County Office Building, 225 N. Center Street, Room 003-004 Lower Level, Westminster, MD and called to order at 7:30 by Darlene Welsh, President.
Attendance:
  Lynda Arnold, Janet Breeding, Carolyn Garber, Peggy Miller, Dave Radcliffe, Darlene Welsh, Loren Lustig.
Volunteer Hours
  April 2016: 66.5 hours
Secretary's Report:
  Motion to approve minutes of March 7, 2017 by Janet Breeding; second by Dave Radcliffe. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report:
  Peggy Miller reported $660. In dues and $525 in donations (totaling $1,185.) has been collected. New memberships are being received due to the individual use of the Equestrian Center. View
Equestrian Center Report: Lynda Arnold
  Lynda Arnold reported the locks on the rings were changed on April 1, 2017. Portable toilet has been delivered/county contract is still with Freedom Septic Service. Sunday, April 30, 2017 is the first show of the season for Carroll County Western Circuit. Capital Region Pony Club cancelled the May 6, 2017 reservation/refund to be issued per the contract.

A meeting with Doug Lindsay (Chief, Bureau of Facilities) and Blaine Flickinger (Facilities Supervisor) was held at the Equestrian Center on 2/28/17 to request assistance in mowing the Center prior to the scheduled events on Saturday, May 6 and on (Sundays) April 30, May 14, June 11, June 25, July 9, August 13 and August 27. No response to date.
RECREATION AND PARKS REPORT
  Loren Lustig reported on dates for several upcoming events; Disc Golf fundraiser for Park Legacy Fund, Youth Fishing Rodeo at Westminster Community Pond, Youth Fishing Derby at Krimgold Park. See Carroll County Recreation and Parks website for details.
Equestrian Center Maintenance
  Peggy Miller advised the three wheels/tires for the portable judges stands will be purchased and installed before the first horse show at the Center.
Old Business
  The 4-H Therapeutic Riding Program of Carroll County-
Horse Fair was held on Sunday March 26, 2017. Darlene Welsh thanked the booth volunteers: Janet Breeding, Carolyn Garber, Peggy Miller, Judy Thacher. Special thanks to Darlene Welsh for setting up and taking down (and storing) the booth!

Darlene Welsh reported the CCEC Social Dinner
was held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Brick Ridge Restaurant, Mt. Airy. An evening of great food and fellowship was enjoyed by all. Tentative plans are for the fall Social Dinner to be held in October TBA at Bud’s at Silver Run.
