General Meeting May 2, 2017
Location and Time:
  Meeting held at Carroll County Office Building, 225 N. Center Street, Room 003-004 Lower Level, Westminster, MD and called to order at 7:30 by Darlene Welsh, President.
  Lynda Arnold, Janet Breeding, Carolyn Garber, Peggy Miller, Dave Radcliffe, Stephanie Runion,Darlene Welsh, Twyla Yelton, Tina Shupp.
Volunteer Hours
  April 2016: 66.5 hours
Secretary's Report:
  Motion to approve minutes of April 4, 2017 by Lynda Arnold; second by Janet Breeding. Motion passed.

Equestrian Center Report: Lynda Arnold
  Lynda Arnold reported she has called all who have returned the membership/Equestrian Center Rules/Release to provide the new combination; except for two people. Recent vandalism at the Center includes graffiti on the large storage container and the cable at the front entrance had been cut. Thanks to Ron Haines from Facilities for the repair to the cable. The CCWC held their first show on 4/30/17.

Mowing of the Center to be done by contract through Facilities – Phelps Lawn Care. Linda will contact the previous contractor regarding the hay/hayfield.
  Tina Shupp reported that Recreation and Parks will have an information booth at various Fire Department Carnivals and at the 4-H FFA Fair.
Equestrian Center Maintenance
  Peggy Miller advised the three wheels/tires for the portable judges stands will be purchased and installed before the first horse show at the Center.
Old Business
  Peggy Miller reported on the Gillis Falls Trail Work Day, 4/29/17.
Jon Arnold had one helper. Peggy used the weedeater around the jumps in the woods behind the houses and around the Center. Barb Chavez picked up trash at the party area; Janet Breeding mowed the cross country course.

Piney Run Trail Work Day has been changed
Darlene reported for Bridget McCullough that Piney Run Trail Work Day has been changed to Saturday, June 10, 2017.

  Equiery News – May Issue
Janet Breeding called attention to page 12 that includes the results from the Horse Parade.
