For the 29th year, the Carroll County Equestrian Council featured a Trail Work Day at Morgan Run NEA, Sykesville, MD.

A crew of 19 worked on the trails and maintenance of the parking area. Two volunteers (with mowers) mowed the trails, crews worked on removing downed trees that blocked trails and cut back vegetation that is encroaching over the trails and making them more narrow. Volunteers from Carroll County Equestrian Council, Freedom Lions Club, TROT and individual community members participated and enjoyed a picnic lunch provided by CCEC volunteers.

Thanks to PVSP Management for providing Maintenance and MCC staff to assist. By providing the Gator so the MCC crew could get to the area to remove the large trees it enabled a huge task to be accomplished. The mowing/trimming the rocks around the parking area enabled us to work around the rocks along the tree line – to (hopefully) prevent ground bees. The area has never looked better! We were able to accomplish so much more with PVSP support!
